DAY 1: NIJMEGEN CITY TOUR – BERG EN DAL ARNHEM
08:30: Pick-up Station Central Nijmegen.
From Central Station we walk in 5 minutes to the city centre of Nijmegen and take a city walk through one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The shops open at 09.00 hrs. Every Monday a traditional market is organised in the city, which makes the city exciting and lively. Nijmegen is situated along the river Waal and the Maas-Waal canal, where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. Afterwards we will walk to the bus.
And then we will depart by bus from Nijmegen to Berg en Dal and arrive there at 11:00. Berg en dal is the name of the municipality of all the villages in the area. It is known for its hilly landscape with “mountains and valleys” and woody areas. Every year, Nijmegen organizes the largest walking event in the world, the Nijmegen Marches or “4Daagse”. In this event, they walk from Nijmegen to Berg en Dal, among others. We visit the Holy Land museum. The Orientalis museum illustrates different cultures and religions by showing three villages. The three villages mentioned are a Jewish village, an Arab village with a desert and a Caravanserai building. As well as a typical panorama of the streets of the Roman city. It was considered that Judaism, Christianity and Islam give colour to their lives by “mixing”.
We leave Berg en Dal for Arnhem. Upon arrival in Arnhem, we visit the Open Air Museum. In this open air museum there are several historical houses, farms and factories from different parts of the Netherlands. It is a national museum that focuses on culture related to the daily life of ordinary people. You will then spend time in the city of Arnhem and continue to hotel.

DAY 2: HOTEL – UTRECHT – KAMPEN – GIETHOORN
08:00: Breakfast in hotel.
Leaving Nijmegen for Utrecht. The city is not only a student town but also has beautiful canals, an old city centre and a university that is famous all over the world. Upon arrival in Utrecht, you will visit an old castle. One of the most luxurious castles in the Netherlands with 135 hectares of gardens and parks. Inside the castle you will be guided by a local guide, it is time to enjoy a panoramic view inside the castle and hear about its history.
The journey will take us to Kampen. Kampen is situated on the shore of the river Ijssel. Since the 13th century, the city has been prosperous and powerful. The city has always been busy with different activities like fishing, craftsmen and trade. The city is one of the Hanseatic cities, which are famous for their cigars. You will have time to explore Kampen on your own.
Then we come to Giethoorn. Giethoorn is characterised by its many canals, wooden bridges and farmhouses with woven roofs. The natural beauty of the surroundings is peaceful and serene. Besides ‘Little Venice’, this place is also called ‘Green Venice’. Because of its green nature and environment. Enjoy the panorama of this beautiful nature by boat. It’s time to leave Giethoorn and go back to Nijmegen.
We will be staying in the same hotel in Nijmegen.
DAY 3: HOTEL – VALKENBURG – EPEN – MAASTRICHT
08:00: Breakfast in hotel.
We check out of the hotel and continue the journey from Nijmegen to Valkenburg. The Netherlands is a small country known for its flat landscapes. But in Valkenburg, the natural landscapes and hills make this town different from others. Moreover, its distance from Belgium, which is only about 30 minutes away, makes Valkenburg an even more popular tourist attraction. Visit the town of Valkenburg and enjoy the panoramic city view.
We will depart from Valkenburg to Epen. Epen has a beautiful landscape, a combination of Limburg and Belgium. We will have lunch in Epen. Here you can have a break and we will have lunch in a restaurant in Epen. After lunch we will drive from Epen to Maastricht.
Maastricht is not only the largest city, but also the capital of the province of Limburg. And of course, Maastricht University makes the city even prouder. Explore the city and spend some time in the city centre. At the end of the afternoon we check in at the hotel.

DAY 4: MAASTRICHT – ROERMOND – NIJMEGEN
08:00: Breakfast in hotel.
We check out of the hotel and continue our journey from Maastricht to Roermond. For those who love shopping for branded goods, we will visit the Designer Outlet town of Roermond today. In the outlet of Roermond we will spend some time. We will have lunch in Roermond;
Departure from Roermond to Nijmegen. On arrival in Nijmegen you will be brought to the agreed place in Nijmegen.

Museum in the Netherlands
Visiting museums is sometimes included in the itinerary. Please inform us of your arrival period. As the museum is NOT open all year round, the opening time of the museum depends on the season.
Traditional market in the Netherlands
The traditional cheese market in the Netherlands is similar almost to a museum. The market is not open all the time. The market is open during certain periods, it may be seasonal, and depending on the weather or the climatic conditions. If the traditional market is not open, the itinerary will be changed to an alternative.
Festivals and Markets
If you really want to see the traditional markets and street theatre festivals then it’s best to come in the summer, and that’s from May to August.

PAYMENT
