On the Trans-Siberian Railways from Moscow via Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk to Irkutsk
06:22 Arrival in Irkutsk, transfer to Hotel Ibis Center***, breakfast, 09:00-13:00 city sightseeing tour including Church of the Savior, Epiphany Church, Irkutsk Drama Theater, Wooden Houses, Dekabrist Museum at Prince Volkonsky Mansion (entrance), check-in at hotel, leisure, 19:00 dinner at hotel.
Breakfast, 09:00-18:00 full day excursion to Lake Baikal, transfer to Listvyanka located 68 km south- east from Irkutsk, visit to Baikal Museum (entrance), chairlift to Chersky Point for a view of Lake Baikal (entrance), tour to Listvyanka with visit to St. Nicolas’ Church and Fish Market, 13.00- 14.00 lunch at Restaurant „Last Century”, visit Baikal seal show in Listvyanka Nerpinarium (entrance), return to Irkutsk, en route visit to Talsty Open Air Museum of Wooden Architecture (entrance), return to Irkutsk.
Boxed breakfast, 07:00 transfer to railway station, 08:20 departure with train 306 to Ulaanbaatar

Train 70:  is a local train. There are only 2nd class compartments. 1stclass passengers are accommodated in 2ndclass compartment with double occupancy. The train also has a dining car that has a special menu for the passangers. Operates daily.
Train 306:  is a local train. There are only 2ndclass compartments. 1stclass passengers are accommodated in 2ndclass compartment with double occupancy. Operates on Monday, Tuesday, Friday. There is a service stop on the boarder between Russia and Mongolia of about 5 hours.
Train 24:  One of the most popular Trans-Siberian/ Trans Mongolian trains . This is a privately run train that passes through Ulaanbaatar on its way to Beijing. The train is operated by Russian and Chinese staff. When the train passes from Mongolia into China, the wheels of the train are changed to a smaller gauge – the whole process takes few hours. The train has both 1st and 2nd compartments. It has a car-restaurant. Departing Ulaanbaatar – each Thursday.
Moscow-Ulaanbaatar: on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Moscow-Beijing: on Tuesday
