DAY 1: KEUKENHOF – MADURODAM
In the morning around 10.00 am you will be picked up at the hotel. Afterwards you will travel to the flower garden of the Keukenhof. From The Hague (hotel) this will take about 43 km or 35 minutes by car.
Keukenhof – a 32-hectare flower garden.
This is a tourist attraction that you should not miss.
DAY 2: SCHEVENINGEN – ROTTERDAM
In the morning around 10.00 a.m. we leave for Scheveningen.
Scheveningen is the beach of The Hague. The only large city in the Netherlands, which has a sandy beach with sand dunes, and a vast nature reserve.
The Hague is also the political city of the Netherlands where politics has settled.
After enjoying the beauty of the beach at Scheveningen, we continue our journey to the city of Rotterdam. This takes about 30 minutes by car.
Rotterdam – it is a city, a metropolis where many modern buildings are.
During the 2nd world war Rotterdam was almost completely destroyed.
After the war Rotterdam was completely rebuilt and many architects settled there.
After Amsterdam, Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands.
Rotterdam is then known for its ports where international trade takes place. Until recently, these were the largest ports in the world.
Are you a lover of modern buildings and architecture?
Then Rotterdam is the city of the Netherlands you must have seen!
DAY 3: KINDERDIJK – LEIDEN
Early in the morning at 10.00 am we leave for Kinderdijk.
Kinderdijk is the place of the windmills – a place with lots of windmills. All around you here are the traditional mills in a wonderful natural environment where you can walk. By appointment we can also visit a mill inside (optional).
Nowhere in the Netherlands can as many mills be seen in one area together as in Kinderdijk. Its history was global until it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
Arrived at Kinderdijk. Now you can enjoy the surroundings. And of course you can take pictures here and enjoy the natural beauty all around.
You will then have to continue on to Leiden.
In Leiden we will visit the Naturalis Museum. There you can see the 67 million year old skeletons and fossils of dinosaurs from prehistoric times. The old skeletons were excavated and then brought to the Netherlands.
Here you can take pictures of old fossils and of the T-rex and many other dinosaurs robots.
Hopefully you enjoyed IndoHolland Tours and we will see you again. Because the Netherlands ( although it is only a small country) has much more to offer.
